At the Lake General Store we hand select our beef primals starting with USDA Choice, or USDA Prime graded beef, and then cut and package the steaks ourselves, the old fashioned way. We use a secret recipe that has been handed down to us from a German butcher shop that was once open in the heart of Detroit. Simple recipes tend to be the best, so we use only the finest pork, seasonings and natural casings to make a variety of delicious styles, with no perservatives added.
